Six changes for England in World Cup test :

Written By youtie on 26 août 2011 | 14:36

Martin Johnson has named a new-look midfield for England's final World Cup warm-up Test against Ireland in Dublin on Saturday.

Jonny Wilkinson has been picked at fly-half, while there is a blend of youth and experience in the centres as Manu Tuilagi partners Mike Tindall.

Johnson has made a total of six changes from the 19-9 defeat to Wales in Cardiff and the line-up provides the strongest indication yet of his first-choice XV.

Wilkinson is given the No. 10 shirt again after Toby Flood played at the Millennium Stadium while Tuilagi comes back into the side at the expense of Shontayne Hape.

Tindall, who continues as captain in the absence of Lewis Moody, moves to No.12 to get a 72nd cap which will put him level with Will Carling as England's most-capped centre.

Wing Chris Ashton is set for his first start of the warm-up campaign after overcoming a foot injury, joining Ben Foden and Mark Cueto in the back three that was a fixture during this year's RBS Six Nations tournament.

Richard Wigglesworth is named as the starting scrum-half as Ben Youngs continues his recovery from a knee operation, with Joe Simpson set to make his debut from the bench.
