The Russian tennis player and top model Maria Sharapova goes into the tournament as one of the favourites after finally returning to something close to her best form this year.
She won the title as a 17-year-old in 2004 and reached number one in the world the following season, but her career since has been disrupted by injuries.
Many doubted whether she would ever be able to recapture the form that led her to three grand slam titles, but a run to the semi-finals at the French Open has coincided with a return to the world's top 10.
And now Sharapova says winning Wimbledon again would rank above all her other titles due to the struggles she has endured in recent years.
"I said that if I could win another grand slam, it would mean more than the previous ones that I have just because before the injury everything was kind of moving up," she said.
